Today i.e. Friday (October 27), Reliance Jio Chairman Akash Ambani introduced 'Jio Space Fiber' technology at the 'India Mobile Congress 2023' event going on in Pragati Maidan, Delhi. This technology of Jio will provide high-speed internet to remote areas.
The first stall in Pragati Maidan is of Jio Infocom. Akash Ambani informed PM Modi about Jio Air Fiber, Space Fiber and other technologies. Jio Bharat device has also been displayed here. PM also saw this phone.

'Jeo Space Fiber' is a satellite based giga fiber technology, which will connect those remote areas where it is difficult to provide broadband connectivity through fiber cable. 'Jio Space Fiber' service will be made available across the country at very affordable prices.
These four most remote places of India will be connected with Geo Space Fiber
Four most remote places in India have already been connected with Geo Space Fiber. These areas are Gir (Gujarat), Korba (Chhattisgarh), Nabarangpur (Odisha) and Jorhat (Assam). Satellites of Satellite Telecommunication (SES) company will be used for this service.
Jio Space Fiber capable of providing speeds up to 1GB per second
This technology uses radio waves to transmit the Internet through a satellite receiver dish, which is connected to a modem. This technology is capable of providing internet speed up to 1GB per second. This is the third major technology in the connectivity portfolio of Reliance Jio after Jio Fiber and Jio Air Fiber.
